"Karuna" means "compassion" in Sanskrit

True healing occurs in the presence of compassion.  Stress hormones decrease, allowing for the natural healing forces in our bodies to do their job.

It is also essential that we practice self-compassion, balanced with setting realistic goals and pushing the boundaries to achieve them.

I chose this name for my practice to remind myself and others around me that this one sentiment is the GROUNDWORK  for building all else.
